Lok Sabha witnesses TMC, BJP spat

Trouble started when Banerjee was speaking on the Repealing and Amendment (Second) Bill, 2014 that was later passed by the house.

Banerjee made a reference to Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who had told him to address the chair.

"I expect the ministers, like Shri Rudy, to listen to us," Banerjee said. Bharatiya Janata Party member from Trinamool ruled West Bengal SS Ahluwalia sought to respond to Banerjee's remarks, triggering a verbal duel.

Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai sought to restore order and said unparliamentary remarks will not go on record.
